Head of Forensics Division
eTERA Consulting is seeking an experienced and successful entrepreneurial professional to lead and help build our forensics division within the U.S. and international marketplace. To be considered, you must have a proven record and expertise identifying, developing and managing forensic collection projects and related forensics services for law firms and corporations. You must also have a proven track record in building and leading a team of forensic experts in various geographic areas. The location of the position can be in the Washington, DC area or another remote location
The head of eTERA’s forensics division must have a strong background in forensic lab practices and procedures, evidence handling and testifying as an expert witness. Candidates must have an understanding of information systems security, mobile devices, network architecture, general database concepts, document management, hardware and software troubleshooting, electronic mail systems such as Exchange and GroupWise, Microsoft Office applications, intrusion tools, and computer forensic tools such as EnCase, Access Data FTK, and Oxygen Forensic Suite. Possession of professional certifications such as EnCase and/or AccessData is required and membership in professional associations is highly desirable.

ESI LAW PreDiscovery Software Specialist
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Processing in LAW PreDiscovery (e.g., importing, filtering, tiffing, numbering, exporting).
- Building custom deliverables to meet client requests.
- Updating project tracking sheets and creating client reports (e.g., exception, exclusion and custom).
- Preparing media for client delivery.
Background and Experience:
- Experience with law firms or corporate legal departments as a paralegal, electronic discovery processor or other relevant experience.
- Worked as part of a multi-functional team with proven team player abilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Technology savvy with extensive experience with LAW PreDiscovery software.

Data Specialist
The Data Specialist is an entry level position to support the Client Delivery System (CDS) department. The work hours for this position are completely flexible but you must be available to work overtime and weekends if needed. Work hours could also vary given the day-to-day project activities and priorities. The position is located in our Washington, DC headquarters.
Roles and responsibilities will include making client deliveries in the Washington area, routine trips to the secure data center in Ashburn, VA, making labels for CDs/DVDs, internal helpdesk trouble-shooting, loading data onto the eTERA network, copy data onto CDs/DVDs, maintaining the media tracker database, working with outside vendors, and other assignments as requested by department heads including eDiscovery, forensic collection and administration.
This is an ideal position if you are interested in pursuing a career in IT, legal or computer forensics. You will have an opportunity to learn about managing electronically stored information, electronic discovery and computer forensics. Training is provided. The requirements for this position are:
- College degree
- Strong computer, technical and data management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work overtime including weekends; flexibility is key

Coordinating Project Manager
The Coordinating Project Manager is responsible for project management activities on multiple incoming projects at eTERA Consulting. The Coordinating Project Manager is directly responsible for planning and reporting on all phases of project life cycle, including: compliance with work orders and contracts, chain of custody and materials tracking, financial and time-based projections and forecasts, billing and volume metrics, and reporting on project-level information. The Coordinating Project Manager is the primary communications channel to the client and works closely with operations and account management. Specific duties include:
- Oversee projects from initial set-up to delivery of the finished product, with a focus on client relations and communication.
- Work closely with client to set up projects, job turnaround estimates, and job specifications.
- Continuously monitor multiple projects and jobs within each department to ensure deadlines are met.
- Work closely with production staff to ensure proper allocation of resources based on deadlines and priorities.
- Serves as a liaison between Account Management, production staff, and the client during the life of a project.
- Communicates frequently with client to resolve issues and provide status updates according to the client’s needs. Manage client expectations throughout the life of a project.
- Ensure jobs are completed according to client, industry standards, and that job specifications and deadlines are adhered to.
- Ensure that other PMs are up to date with enough information so that proper handoffs can occur when unavailable.
- Work on document searches in various data bases.
- Maintain accurate and current records of all aspects of a project relating to job tracking, specifications, and chain of custody related documents.
- Interact with clients to develop strong client relations.
- Provides final quality control check on client deliverables.
Background and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Has at least two years experience in the legal services industry, preferably as a project manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical understanding and/or experience with e-discovery process, lifecycle and technical issues.
- Has an understanding of operations, including document imaging, printing, coding, electronic data processing and document searching.
